They were designed with two objectives in mind - to absorb wee and stop the poo from escaping. It sounds simple but a nappy that can't do either isn't a real nappy.
It has evolved over a decade to become, we believe, the best fitting, most robust nappy you can buy.
Knitted from GOTS certified organic yarn, onto an ultrafine foundation to completely eliminate shape-loss and shrinkage, it is cut from one piece of double-sided fabric with the addition of an internal microfibre soaker which speeds drying time. Drying time is further reduced by the fold-out, double-layer organic cotton booster (sewn-in one the size 2 and 3 but supplied loose with the size 1 as a newborn doesn't really need the extra absorption).
The special way we knit the yarn means that you can't even pull a thread - the more you pull the tighter it locks into place, a must when you have Velcro on the garment.
The elastic - usually the achilles heal in a nappy - is the best quality available and should even outlast the fabric so long as you follow the care instructions.
