I guess that our bamboo nappies are what put Littlelamb on the map. We sell more of these nappies than anything else and it is not hard to see why.
The fit has been altered again and again until we now think we have the best fitting nappy on the market. Having six babies in washables means that we know what to look for. The leg has to be tight enough to prevent leaks but not too tight to create any chaffing. We use the softest elastic that is gentle on baby’s skin but is robust enough to last. We do not offer a re-elasticating service, as we have no need. The nappy is designed to stand up to wear and tear you wouldn’t believe a baby capable of. The leg has a shaped gusset to allow for freedom of movement. The back seam is gently elasticated to prevent any nappy explosions and the front has cross over tabs to grow with your babies ever changing shape. The bottom is slightly deeper than many other brands as a nappy cannot do it's job properly if baby has a "builders bottom” and the front does not gape but fits snuggly.
Littlelamb microfibre reusable nappies are perfect for parents who don't have much space or time for drying their nappies. They come out of the washing machine almost dry and need a quick line dry or a five minute blast in the dryer to finish them off. Why is microfibre a quick dry fabric? If you looked at the material under a microscope you'd see that there're squillions of strands that make up the yarn. The fluid is held between each strand rather than being absorbed into the strand itself. This means that during the spin cycle almost all of it is spun out. Much like your fleece jumper.
We knit the microfibre yarn onto the base rather than weave it to ensure that it does not shrink which means the microfibre nappies will last and last.
The nappy has a velcro fastening as I found that using poppers was just a pain when you are doing night-time changes in the dark. As long as the velcro is closed back onto its laundry tabs before it goes into the wash it will keep doing what it is supposed to do for years. We also have a unique cross-over velcro tab designed to fit your baby from very tiny through all the shape changes they will go through till they get to the stage that they do not need nappies any more. (Yes, this does happen eventually!).
We have added elastic to the back seam - something that many nappy designers miss out. I think that this is because they have not had to manage an explosion when every thing shoots up baby's back.
We added a double layer of booster that is loose in the size 1 nappies and sewn into the size 2’s. This is to prevent the nappy becoming too bulky for tiny babie’s. It also ensures that the nappy remains as slim as possible giving your baby total freedom no matter if he is newborn and just wriggling in your arms or toddling across the room!

Ours wraps fit perfectly over the nappies. With added side gussets and crossover waist tabs they adjust so you get the correct fit everytime. I found poppers were too fixed, or there were just too many and looked a mess. Our wraps stay white, look trim and slim and neat. They also stay soft rather than go crunchy like the old-school plastic wraps. Littlelamb wraps are made from a baby-soft laminated polyester knit so they're waterproof yet breathable. The laminate waterproofing inside the wrap is a microscopic honeycomb with the gaps big enough to let air molecules pass thus reducing the temperature inside the nappy but small enough to stop the larger fluid molecules.
Littlelamb wraps also have gently elasticated waist and thighs which prevents those up-to-the-neck poo explosions found with other nappy system and providing the "dry bucket system" is used (no soaking, no bleach - just pop in the bucket, then chuck in the washer when you have a load and let the machine do all the work) your wraps will last for years and still look and feel great.

Choosing the correct fabric for your lifestyle is essential for you and your baby.
COTTON NAPPIES are the great all rounder. They're robust and will last successive babies, have good absorption and are competitively priced.
BAMBOO NAPPIES are more expensive but are much more absorbent than cotton, less bulky and so, so silky soft.
MICROFIBRE NAPPIES are made from polyester fleece and are the quick-dry nappies of the washable world. Like a fleece jumper they come out of the washer almost dry.
POCKET NAPPIES are made from a combination of the above fabrics- giving you the ultimate fabric nappy.
