Littlelamb microfibre reusable nappies are perfect for parents who don't have much space or time for drying their nappies. They come out of the washing machine almost dry and need a quick line dry or a five minute blast in the dryer to finish them off. Why is microfibre a quick dry fabric? If you looked at the material under a microscope you'd see that there're squillions of strands that make up the yarn. The fluid is held between each strand rather than being absorbed into the strand itself. This means that during the spin cycle almost all of it is spun out. Much like your fleece jumper.
We were the first to discover that bamboo was one of the most absorbent fibres to use but when woven and made into nappies we found that it does have a tendancy to shrink. Nick searched far and wide and found a factory that would knit the fibre into our fabric, thus creating a non-shrink, non-pull bamboo nappy. You see, by using a fine microfibre for the inside of the nappy (where baby sits) it allows moisture to be drawn away from the skin. This also allows for the nappy to “spin out” in the washing machine as many bamboo nappies will take an age to dry. We added a double layer of bamboo booster that is loose in the size 1 nappies and sewn into the size 2’s. This is to prevent the nappy becoming too bulky for tiny babie’s. It also ensures that the nappy remains as slim as possible giving your baby total freedom no matter if he is newborn and just wriggling in your arms or toddling across the room!
Caring for your nappy is simple. Always use the dry bucket system (this means no soaking, no bleaching- just pop any poo down the loo then fold over the Velcro onto the laundry tabs and pop it into the bucket with the lid on to prevent any pong) then when you have a days worth of nappies (or two if you have enough), chuck it all into the washing machine with half a scoop of powder. When your machine has done all the hard work for you dry the nappies either on the line or in the dryer. I always put my nappies onto a wire clotheshorse then I could put them out during the day and pop them in front of a radiator if they needed it through the night.

Littlelamb wraps are designed to fit perfectly over Littlelamb reusable nappies. With added side gussets and cross-over waist tabs they just can't be beaten. Made from a baby-soft polyester knit they're waterproof yet breathable.
How do they work? The inside of the wrap is covered with a laminate skin bonded in place. The skin looks like a honeycomb under a microscope with the spaces big enough to allow the smaller air molecules to pass through but small enough to stop the larger fluid molecules. Warm air can escape, reducing the temperature inside, whilst keeping the wetness inside.
Littlelamb wraps also have gently elasticated waist and thighs, as do the nappies, so there are two barriers to stop possible escapees. It's unheard of on a two-part nappy system to have those poo-up-to-the-neck explosions!
