Littlelamb cotton reusable nappies are the best quality shaped nappies you can buy. Knitted from the highest quality cotton yarn onto a fine poly mesh base ensures a completely shrink proof but baby-soft nappy with maximum absorption.
The fit has been altered time and time again until we now think we have the best fitting nappy on the market.
Having six babies in washables means that we know what to look for. The leg has to be tight enough to prevent leaks but not too tight to create any chaffing. We use the softest elastic that is gentle on baby’s skin but is robust enough to last hundreds of washes.
The back seam is gently elasticated to prevent any nappy explosions and the front has cross over tabs to grow with your baby's ever changing shape. The rise is slightly deeper than many other brands as a nappy cannot do its job properly if baby has a "builders bottom”.

If you cut the nappy in two you will see that there is a microfleece inner core - this absorbs moisture really effectively and almost spins-out in the washer shortening the drying time.
The size 2 and 3 nappies have a fold-out booster which also helps reduce drying time. The booster is not sewn into the size 1 but placed inside so you have the option to use it or not. Newborns don't need the booster for the first few months and to be honest it was just getting in the way on a tiny baby.

Littlelamb wraps are made from a naturally stretchy, soft polyknit fabric that has a breathable laminate bonded to the inside to stop baby getting too clammy.
Without getting too technical, the laminate seen under a microscope looks like a mass of cans all standing up but touching. The gaps between the cans are small enough to stop larger fluid molecules but big enough to let air molecules through. The end result is a waterproof but breathable fabric that keeps the temperature inside the nappy down by 1-2˚c compared to the nylon pants from days of yore.
Obviously the wraps were designed to fit around our shaped nappies perfectly but they also fit most other brands of nappies too if you happen to use a selection.
As both the nappy and wrap have elasticated back and thigh seams 'poo explosions' up to the neck are unheard of.
For our peace-of-mind we forensically test the wraps. They are hypoallergenic and chemically inert and fully conform to the E.U. ReACH regulations for dyestuffs. They also pass the Oeko-tex Standard100 tests for garments used next to babies immature skin.
